Datos técnicos
This is the successor to the first edition of Dr. Burgner’s bestselling Differential Diagnosis in Computed Tomography, which is used by radiologists to assist in interpreting abnormal CT findings, confirm a CT abnormality or add to the differential diagnosis.
Divided into chapters according to anatomic regions and organized by radiologic abnormalities, it presents thorough differential diagnoses and concise descriptions of both frequently and rarely seen CT abnormalities. The various diseases that may present on CT with a specific finding are presented in succinct comprehensive table form, and accompanying useful comments add depth to the text by briefly describing associated CT and other imaging findings as well as pertinent clinical data.
This is the famous and successful Thieme differential diagnosis concept first developed by Professor Burgener.
The second edition covers brain to pelvis and the musculoskeletal system, and includes new chapters on meningeal and calvarian lesions and also on trauma to make this book as comprehensive and up-to-date as can be. The content has been revised, updated, and greatly expanded to cover approximately 800 pages (380 pages in 1st edition). The chapters are extremely well illustrated with over 2000 CT images (925 images in 1st edition).
